Awaiting In Awe For Urgent Protection

Kuala Lumpur (VOCR), 08 June: Sad and agonizing, the arrest of Chin asylum-seeker man and put in Lenggeng detention two months ago and confinement of another recognised Chin refugee woman in Bukit Jalil lock-up station was reportedly revealed to The VOCR yesterday that that spells a total insecurity eked out for every single of asylum seekers as well as recognised refugees as the upcoming exercise of major crackdown will be soon conducted according to the Star newspaper on 07 May.

Pau Lian Khai, from Tedim, Chin state, Burma and a member of Zo community under ACR (Alliance of Chin Refugee) and who is known suffering from mental problem was arrested by RELA (People's Volunteer Corps) on 4th April, 2011 in Dingkil, Putrajaya whereas he worked for a living. It was also learnt that his ACR card, (which identifies his membership belonging to in terms of his protection and intervention—situation like he's been through), was demolished when arrested because it is regarded as different from the UNCHR's one.

Currently, he is being detained in a notorious immigration detention center in Lenggeng. Detailed information regardless of his detention body number and contact number is obtained by The VOCR

Miss Hung Kee, a committed volunteer teacher in a community-based school run by Dai community as is from Kanpalet Township, Chin state, Burma and one of Dai community's members, was arbitrarily arrested in suburban slums by the police despite the fact that she is a recognised refugee in principal and left her belongings that include more than hundreds of money, her hand-phone and golden ring put in her wallet extorted.

For refugees in Malaysia, once it has been robbed off and extorted, it is absolutely gone out and definitely impossible to return them back.
