Book of Chin Activist Launched in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur (VOCR), 23^rd June: The book entitled "Ka Philh Kho Lo (Remembrance Days)" in Chin version (Lai) by Mr. Victor Biak Lian was published earlier in this month in Changmai, Thailand as a contribution to commemorate the selfless struggle of CNA (Chin National Army), a renaissance philosophical challenge for the whole Chins. 

The book perfectly portrays how life of a freedom fighter is in full of danger, never far away from the pitfall of death in every moment of step and never being terrified of sacrificing for the cause of his people and highlighting as well several remarkable persons helping the Chins in a means of revolutionary fight for freedom and democracy in Myanmar.

During the book launch, which was held in CCF (Chin Christian Fellowship) Center in Imbi, Kuala Lumpur in 21^st June, Mr. Victor Biak Lian himself gave an awe-aspiring speech for dozens of attendees. Mr. Victor Biak Lian was awarded St. Stephen's human rights award by Norwegian mission to the East (NMTE) in November of last year for his outstanding contribution to human rights, reconciliation, and religious freedom in Myanmar. 

It is learnt that he will continuously travel for his book launching program in coming days across America and Europe continent—countries where hundreds of Chins respectively living there according to him. 

Written in the perspective of the truly Chin context, the book identifies patriotic lives of the forerunners of CNA (Chin National Army) which was later reformed as Chin National Front (CNF) and provides challenging issues on what should be done for the next generation to come.

It is the first serious book written in Chin (Lai) by Chin activist throughout the 23 years long journey of revolution fighting against the dictatorship in Myanmar. Since 11 November, 1998, he has started writing this book amidst his busy involvement with other activities. However, his unceasing zeal and energetic enthusiasm compels towards a go and eventually could have completed the very important book reminding anew the spirit of nationalism and the sole cause of revolt for the sake of all of Chins. 

He said that the book is being planned to publish in English version for international edition but the title will come as "Undying Cause" as the permission of the press.
